LEARNER DRIVER INFORMATION

At Top Class School of Motoring, we understand that learning to drive can be one of the most important experiences in your life. Whether you're a young student looking to get on the road for the first time or a mature student looking to take that final step, we're here to help you.

We can give you whatever lesson structure you require. Most pupils will have one/two lessons per week, but some like to get it out the way quickly. You might expect to take between 20-45 hours depending on how quickly you can grasp what you are being taught. However, this is not set in stone. Pupils can be picked up and dropped off from pre-arranged destinations.

Hourly Lessons: £20
Block Booking of Ten Lessons: £180.00 (Saving of £20.00)
Block Booking of Twenty Lessons: £350.00 (Saving of £50.00)
Quick Pass Course (25 Lessons): £395.00 (Saving of £105.00)

Pass Plus (6 Hours): £130.00
Motorway Lesson (2 Hours): £50.00
Guaranteed Pass: Unfortunately, this does not exist!

TEST INFORMATION

Theory

The theory test can be taken during or before your learning course. You cannot book a practical test until the theory test has been passed.

You will will be asked to complete 50 multiple choice questions, of which you must get 43 correct. You will then be asked to take a HPT (Hazard Perception Test) of which you must achieve 44 marks out of 75. Both of these tests must be passed to achieve a complete Pass. Should you require help with the Theory then please ask, otherwise you will be given a list of PC Software available to help by your instructor.

Practical

You are now in a position to apply for a practical test. This will last approximately 40 minutes and you are not allowed any serious/dangerous faults. Minor Faults will be marked to a total of 15 for a pass to be achieved. During the test you will be asked to complete 2 manoeuvres and possibly an emergency stop. At the beginning of the test, you will be asked 2 “Show Me, Tell Me” questions (these are related to your vehicle).
